Our Story
April - June 2020
ArtForCovid started as a two person project, fundraising by gifting custom digital illustrations in exchange for donations to Kitabisa’s fundraiser platform. In 3 months, we raised over 11 million rupiah for COVID-19 relief which were used to provide necessities such as hazmat suits, food and water to healthcare professionals battling COVID-19.

August 2020
As the pandemic progresses, we found out that COVID-19 did not only impact humans, but also animals. Animals, especially endangered ones in risk of extinction, are as affected as we are due to being overshadowed by COVID-19 fundraisers and caretakers being fired due to the economic recession. Thus, we decided to also raise awareness and fundraise for animals, donating to WWF Indonesia for the conservation of endangered animals and their environment. Moreover, we decided to "adopt" 1 orangutan per month from September to February from BOS Foundation to help our precious national animal.

September 2020
We wanted to create a bigger impact and try something new, so we decided to bootstrap a social entrepreneurship to spread awareness on how orangutans are endangered by climate change, and forgotten in pandemic. We opened recruitment, and are now a team of selfless and passionate individuals from around the globe. Together, we raise awareness while fundraising by selling merchandise such as t-shirts and stickers with designs raising awareness about our cause, specially made by us which we are selling on Shopee.
February 2021
We successfully "adopted" a total of 6 orangutans from BOS Foundation. We are happy and proud to announce the ArtForCovid orangutan family: Davi, Taymur, Jelapat, Topan, Shelton, and Kopral!
March 2021
Our fundraiser to WWF Indonesia reached 15 million rupiah! Special thanks to all our supporters, collaborators, and of course the ArtForCovid Team for making all of this possible.
June 2021
ArtForCovid collaborated with fashion influencer (2.7M+ on Tiktok) Mivia (@mmivia) to launch our adorable bear tees which we produced in purple and brown with the idea to twin with your loved ones! From this collaboration, we adopted 3 orangutans from BOS Foundation: Bumi, Mema, and Monita, and donated IDR 3 million to Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa (YCAB Foundation). We thank Mivia for her endless support and kindness throughout the partnership!
January 2022
We successfully donated IDR 5 million to Save the Children Indonesia, part of a worldwide campaign aiming to better the lives and futures of millions of children.
