Why Should We Care?

More trees are falling every minute

More animals are losing their natural habitats

More methane is filling the air

But why should we care

If our stock of tissue and paper remain sufficient?

Less birds are singing their songs

Less insects are accompanying the long night

Less big cats are prowling the grounds

But why should we care

If our unrestrained appetite for meat is satisfied?

The air gets hotter and hotter

Severe floods are reported around the globe

Animal and plant species are dying out faster than ever

This is why we should care

Our ways aren’t sustainable, and we should know better

Selfishness and ignorance kill everyone and everything.
